Canterbury Partners was founded in 2017 by Kim Morrish, a successful entrepreneur. Kim brings to Canterbury Partners a unique blend of experience from 10 years managing international aid programmes and 25 years as a successful entrepreneur – launching start-ups, acquiring businesses and driving dramatic growth.

Our investment partners include a wide range of social activists and successful entrepreneurs, as well as angel investors and investment firms dedicated to supporting businesses that have a discernible social impact.

What We Do

Canterbury Partners invests in organisations with a clear vision of how to effect positive change for people and planet, combined with the experience, hard work and commitment. Where appropriate, we also offer advice and mentoring to support visionary social entrepreneurs on their journey.

We understand the importance of diversity in the field of social impact, and the barriers that many women-led enterprises, in particular, face when accessing capital. We believe this market has huge potential for growth, but is currently underserved. For this reason, we also focus on female founders and balanced teams.

Our investments range in size from £25,000 to £500,000.

Our Philosophy

The ancient city of Canterbury has been the destination for pilgrims committed to a higher purpose for over 1000 years. Pilgrimages to Canterbury brought people from diverse backgrounds together on a journey towards a greater good.

Canterbury Partners aims to reflect that centuries-old tradition, bringing ideas, entrepreneurs and investors  together to facilitate positive change and redefine the act of giving.

We work closely with recipients to ensure the investment timeline is right for the venture and reflects its needs, as well as protecting our capital.  This supports the principle of mutual sustainability over the longer term.
